Sathyameva Jayathe

Today morning, when I landed on Times of India homepage, I saw a really revealing interview under the headline

"Ex-CM Chautala shielded molester cop: Ruchika's dad"

Curiousity led me to reading the article and I found to one of my greatest shocks, that after the sentence was pronounced by the court, Ruchika's dad got a call from some anonymous guy asking "Ab tuney kya kar liya (what have you achieved)?" followed by "Kuchh mil gaya kya? (did you get anything?)" , quoting the news article "Laughing at the quantum of punishment (six months and Rs 1,000 fine)".

Yes, if you are really surpised to hear that, that's the truth. Welcome to the greatest nation on the face of earth that give value to words and exists by the motto "Sathyameva jayathe", a great nation whose largest parties fight their campaigns by saying 'India Shining' and "Congress ke haath Aam Admi ke sath". Yes BJP, India is really shining is it not? Is the Congress really with the common man?

Just a tip. If your daughter gets molested or raped, just try and live with it, take some money from the rapist and may be go on a holiday, because if you are gonna fight for justice you are gonna cry for 19 years, you will loose your daughter and the all powerful molester will live his life out and that our justice is gonna serve up is 6 months jail term and 10,000 rs fine. Hey, don't forget the free gift at the end. An anonymous phone call wishing you the very best for your future endeavors.

Really, if India's 'Sathyameva Jayathe' really means something. That is it. The truth that how ever hard you try you are not going to get justice or achieve your dreams.

I dunno why I should be proud of my justice system. We are demonstrating the trial of Qasab for the world media to see as if its a Hollywood movie for killing lots of people in 15 mins, where as a man who is supposed to protect us, not just fails, but misuses his powers (causes death of a young girl, gives a family pain for rest of their lives) and walks free for 19 years, then pays 10,000 bucks and takes a break of 6 months and the goes back to his normal life.

All I can say is , 'Sathyameva Jayathe'. Thats the truth for you my friend.

ps: For my International readers(if any , lol) , 'Sathyameva Jayathe' is the national motto of India, which means 'truth always triumphs'
